The course TEACHING PRONUNCIATION TODAY has supposed a great hit in the history of our Teacher Training Center as we reached the maximun number of teachers attending one of our courses. We had 351 teachers in our videoconference course.
Robin Walker trained teachers on the fact that pronunciation does matter because it is only after we have chosen a goal or after we have negotiated an appropriate goal with our students, that we can then go on to determine our teaching priorities and the right model to use in class.
But teaching pronunciation is more than just goals, models and priorities. We also need to think about the learners’ ages and about teaching techniques to motivate them in their learning process.
We had teachers from the following provinces:

Robin Walker focused his teaching on the fact that we have to foster activities in which you can apply pronunciation exercises to the key areas of international intelligibility. He gave strategies to promote pronunciation skills among students taking the stress out of the classroom and favouring communication over perfect correction.
